The Oarhouse is now WiFi-enabled!

It took many months of cajoling and pleading with our longtime friend Nonoy, but ya know, we really just had to have wifi here at the Oarhouse for the obvious reasons, and it is my pleasure to announce that the Oar is now internet-accessible from the comforts of its bar and tables, where you can set your laptop or PDA and unlike those really corny non-alcoholic hotspot establishments where only coffee and pastry are served, the ice cold bottles of beer and your drink of choice coupled with the great food from the menu of this Malate abode will accompany your browsing and web connectivity within its safe and cozy walls.

What I'll certainly enjoy doing is doing the blog entries in real time from here as I am now doing at this moment, and expect much more livelier and engaging posts and images as I will be uploading in happy and inebriated state. The words just tend to flow more smoothly somehow and in torrents as long as I'm well-fed and drinking in aid of digestion, nyuk nyuk....

The Oar opens daily except Sundays, from 4:00 pm and for as long as there are still friends and people in the wee hours of 1:30 to 2:00 am. Look for Wilson the bartender or Flor, and the Oarhouse landline is 450-8301.

In addition, there will be new items on the menu which I will list here as soon as they are officially available by the end of this week hopefully. So drop by soon!
