The Oarhouse, 1981. Uncle Dave is the one with the dart board behind him.


Thanks for the acknowledgment, but "Uncle Jim" Turner WAS the only peace corps volunteer that founded Hobbit House. He was able to entice some of his students at Ateneo to invest in a folk house. Along the way, some hippies and artists also joined in. Of course, now, the Hobbit is all his. Tsk. Tsk.

Here is also the latest pic of Chuck, at 75.

Also, some flashes back, taken during 1981 birthday of Carrie, Chuck's 2nd wife and sometimes Oar House moll. Notice me and Carrie standing, with Taby, Lyle etc. Chuck had already gone to sleep.
